Notes for this activity:Come out to Gilbert Run Park to learn some fishing fundamentals from park staff members. During this 4 day program, participants will learn how to fish with live bait, artifical lures, and some fly-fishing skills. Participants will also have a chance to fish both from the shoreline, and a rowboat; practicing all the recent skills they have learned. In addition to fishing skills, participants will learn about the fish in the lake and have a special opportunity to build new fish habitats. All equipment will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear. This class is open to children age 10-15 that have some prior fishing experience.

Please pack water, snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray for your child. We will be outside the entire class, please make sure your child is appropriately dressed for outside activities; no flip-flops, closed toe shoes only. Children are permitted to bring their own fishing equipment to class but it is not required; all equipment will be provided. Parents must have ID when picking up their child.
